One thing different about the way parents are kept informed of their children’s progress from when I was in school is how often grades are shared. In my day my parents got a report card just before the winter holidays and the end of the year. That doesn’t leave much room for mitigating if things aren’t going so well.
DC Prep sends weekly updates. Generally Nduku handles the DC Prep stuff, from the homework packets to announcements to everything else. But every now and again I’ll take a peak to see how things are going, and the first thing I look for is Najwa’s Math grade.
